Semalam, aku diajak oleh Naqash ngan Umar pg debate psal Shariah law.
Tapi pg tengok je la. bukan debate. hehe
Hebat sebenarnya kalau kita perhatikan betapa 'bersatu' dan 'teguh' nya muslim di sini.
Nak tahu kenapa?

Tajuk debate tu: "Is Shariah Law Compatible with the Modern World?"
Speakers die :

Mula2, Brendon yang start dulu.
Premise die,
-Law yang ada sekarang pun die tak kata 100% elok. Die Marxist.*Socialist*
-Die anggap 'Law' hanya perlu untuk menghukum 'perbuatan' yang men'cedera'kan orang.
-Bagi dia Shariah law is not compatible because of 2 reasons.
-It dwells with human thought and intentions.
-There is no EQUALITY under the Shariah Law.As in a women's testament is valued less than a man's testament. women cannot do this that etc2.
-Dia juga ada cakap kalau nak buat Shariah jugak, buat small institution under current law.
-N die cakap kalau shariah law diapprove, nanti akan ada 'inter-religious' justice, as in setiap orang akan mintak untuk diadili dengan 'law agama' masing2, and mcm kita semua tahu, agama kat sini ada macam2, sampaikan yang superpelik pon ada, orang dok reka2. nanti takut ada orang reka agama untuk dia selamat sorang2. lebey kurang gitu la.

tapi basically die neh orang yang 'lembut' as in tak garang r. die cakap dengan sopan santun gitu. tapi as a debater, korang taw r.. aku jenis yang suka meletop2 pnye. bukan baik hati..hehe
tapi point die basically pasal:
-Islamic Law-based on Quran. Is already IN british law.
-Proof:ade beberapa law yang die sebut, and die cakap sama mcam Shariah.
-n then die banyak bidas isi brendon. dia cakap islam tak dwell on thoughts. action jugak.
tapi action yang islam consider adalah action yang boleh meng'harm' society. suma action neh ada hukuman.
-n then dia cakap Shariah Law based on self belief. so ada perasaan guilt alongside fear of punishment. dapat jadik deterrent untuk wat crime.

Waktu neh, korang boleh tengok basically audience yang terdiri dari 98% muslim(which aku rase x kondusif untuk such debate) jadik tegang.

tapi kalau aku la kne jawab, aku akan cakap:
"shariah law DOES NOT forbid u from saying bad things about Muhammad. But it forbids u from saying bad things about anyone, unless those bad things are meant to change for the better. Unless those things are for leaders, which can be criticized. But in the case for Muhammad, he is Ma'sum, as in he did not do anything wrong. So there is nothing bad to say about him, except those things are all lies."
